Product Description These Hand Sockets have DirectTorque technology to help prevent rounding of fasteners and to provide better grip. The chrome finish helps provide protection against chipping and flaking. From the Manufacturer Stanley sockets are available in 6 or 12-point configurations. The most commonly used is 12-point due to the ability to engage the socket rapidly on hex or 12-point fasteners for fast unseating. For those stubborn, worn, or soft fasteners, 6-point is the usual preference. Sockets incorporate the MaxiDrive wrenching system which allows the socket to contact the fastener away from the corner while also dispersing stress over a larger area.
